Training to be a Crystal Therapist
I offer two courses in Crystal Therapy:
1. A short 4-day (1 day a month) Postgraduate Course in the Safe Use of Crystals.
This is specifically for qualified complementary therapists who wish to use crystals in conjunction with their existing therapies. Crystal work fits very well with therapies such as Aromatherapy, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Reflexology, and so on.
Please contact me for full details
2. The full 2-year (6 weekends a year) Diploma in Crystal Therapy.
This course is designed for those who are interested in becoming Crystal Therapy practitioners. The aim is to encourage each student to develop their own healing potential, through a good understanding of the physical and metaphysical properties of the crystals, as well as clear knowledge of the human energy field and the chakra system. Students will be encouraged to work on their own personal development throughout the course.
Practical and theoretical homestudy is required. Students must complete a practical assessment at the end of Year 1, as well as case studies, assignments and worksheets for each weekend. Help and advice is always available.
Year 1 covers the Core Curriculum agreed by all the schools in ACHO (The Affiliation of Crystal Healing Organisations) and includes: theories of crystal healing, the history of crystal healing, introduction to dowsing, choosing and cleansing crystals, introduction to meditation, grounding, centering and protection of own and clients’ energy fields, the Human Energy Field, the Chakra system, basic crystal healing techniques and layouts, practice management, client care, health and safety, distance healing.
Year 2 moves onto more advanced work, including: cord work, back healing, hara line work, resonance technique, transpersonal chakras, master and Vogel crystals, mandala work, advanced meditation work, introduction to spiritual astrology and numerology, healing with nature.
Anatomy and physiology: Study of this subject is required by ACHO and is offered as a separate homestudy course through Essential Training Solutions. CSCT will provide you with a learning pack for this. Cost is currently (2009) £40.
Course Dates & Venue:
Application form, booking conditions and details of times, dates and venue are available from Kim at the address shown on the contact page, or please email. Each year consists of 12 days (6 weekends) spaced over the year.
The Affiliation of Crystal Healing Organisations (ACHO).
ACHO was formed in the late 1980’s by four crystal healing organisations in order to co-ordinate and promote the teaching of crystal healing and to ensure a high standard of training for students wishing to study the subject. ACHO currently has 19 member schools (2009).
In 2003 ACHO combined with its sister organisation, the Crystal and Healing Federation (CHF) to form the British Crystal Healers (BCH). All BCH members agree to follow the same core curriculum and general course structure and to hold the same Code of Conduct.
ACHO provides a network and back-up organisation for qualified practitioners, as well as acting as a referral service for those looking for a crystal therapist. A practitioner register is held by ACHO/BCH and this is available to members of the public on request. To join the register a practitioner must provide proof of qualification and current insurance.
(The Chiron School of Crystal Therapy is a member of ACHO)
